		<description>Why were these people hired as Executive Directors?  Too often, Boards hire people who are content experts but not management experts.

Perhaps organizations would be better served if the Executive Directors had management training and experience.  The ED does not have to be knowledgeable about the field, profession, or industry.  

It&#039;s much easier to learn the issues of the organization than it is to learn executive skills.</description>
